App

This policy applies to the iOS app Revia, known as “拾途” in Chinese. By using Revia, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this policy. You remain in control of system permissions at all times.
1. Information we process
Photos and videos
With your permission, Revia accesses the photos and videos you allow, including capture dates, embedded location metadata, media type, dimensions, and resources such as Live Photos. We use this information to identify journeys, organize albums, display photos and Live Photos, create keepsakes, and generate share images.
You may grant full access, limited photo access, or deny access. Revia does not bypass your system permission choices and does not request continuous or live device location. Journey locations primarily come from metadata embedded in your photos.
Device motion
When you use effects such as transparent sticker previews, Revia may read device attitude or motion data to create a natural tilt interaction. This information is used only for the immediate interaction and is not received by the Revia developer or used for tracking.
Locally generated information
Revia stores journey recognition results, candidate or confirmed home areas, cached place names, cover selections, keepsakes, validation state, and necessary performance diagnostics inside the app’s local container. This information maintains continuity and reduces repeated processing.
2. How information is used
- Discover journeysIdentify travel segments on your device from photo time and location clues.
- Organize and presentCreate journey, place, year, album, and route views.
- Create keepsakesGenerate local stickers and share images from photos you select.
- Improve reliabilityUse local caches and local performance information to reduce repeated work and stutter.
3. Network access and Apple services
Revia currently does not operate an account system, advertising system, analytics platform, or developer-controlled data server. Some features may still access the network through Apple system services:
- iCloud Photos: when original photos or Live Photo resources are stored only in iCloud, the Photos framework may download required resources according to your system settings.
- Apple Maps and geocoding: MapKit, Core Location geocoding, and directions services may process photo coordinates, place queries, or route endpoints to return place names, points of interest, and routes.
Apple’s handling of information through these services is governed by Apple’s terms and privacy policy. The Revia developer does not receive data independently collected by Apple.
4. Sharing and third-party apps
Revia opens the iOS system share sheet only when you choose to share. The images and content you select are provided to the destination app or service you choose. Their subsequent handling is governed by their own privacy policies. If you cancel sharing, Revia does not independently send the share content.
5. What we do not do
- We do not serve advertising or build advertising profiles.
- We do not track you across apps or websites owned by other companies.
- We do not sell your photos, location, or other personal information.
- We do not upload complete photos or videos to a server controlled by the Revia developer.
- We do not include third-party analytics or advertising SDKs.
6. Retention, deletion, and permission controls
Journeys, caches, keepsakes, and other information created by Revia remain in the app’s local container until you delete relevant content in the app, the system clears cached data, or you uninstall Revia. Uninstalling the app removes its local container but does not delete original photos or videos from your system photo library.
You can change or revoke photo access at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Photos → Revia. If you use limited photo access, you can also adjust which items Revia may access. To remove information already shared to another app, use the controls provided by that destination app.
7. Security and children’s privacy
We reduce risk through the iOS sandbox, system permissions, and on-device processing wherever possible. However, no technology can guarantee absolute security. Revia is not directed to children and does not knowingly collect children’s personal information.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when our features, data practices, or legal obligations change. The revised version will be published on this page with a new effective date. Where reasonably practical, material changes will also be communicated through the app or product page.
